The accuracy of weights and scales is critical to every measurement made. What happens if an aeroplane is overloaded because the baggage scales were reading 5% low? How much lost revenue can there be if chemicals or ingredients are not accurately measured? Or what are the consequences if a counterbalance is too light? With regular calibration of scales and weights you know how accurate or inaccurate your measurements may be, allowing you to avoid the possible outcomes of the above types of situations.
TEX Onsite is now able to offer calibration of weights and scales for industrial applications. Using our portable calibration standards we are able to calibrate scales up to 200kg with an accuracy of as low as 0.02%. This can be done at your site meaning your scales do not need to be packaged up and sent away. Aircraft baggage scales and other small industrial scales are within our on-site scope allowing us to cater for remote mining and production sites. If however a higher accuracy is required then this can be achieved at our physical calibration laboratory in Lilydale, Victoria. On the other hand, if you prefer to calibrate your own scales using weights, our laboratory can perform high accuracy calibration of your weights to provide a chain of traceability.
